Komatsu is possibly the ONLY restaurant in Australia (maybe even the world!) that totally bans wheat/gluten from its kitchen so that there can be no possibility of cross-contamination for coeliacs. It is also the ONLY restaurant in the world that caters for the widespread, but only newly recognised, problems associated with fructose-malabsorption. But you wouldn't guess that every dish is gluten/wheat free, lactose free and fructose friendly because it tastes so good! Non-coeliacs love it too! Open lunch and dinner with music 4 nights - they even have 'All You Can Eat' every Sunday 4-7.30m for $15. Plans are for another Nonna's to open in the next mth in Burleigh Heads to service the sourthern region of the Gold Coast. The chef mainly cooks gluten free food,it was the most delicious dinner I have ever experienced.
