Denis Welby– Shiatsu Massage & Yoga TeacherShiatsu is a form of massage based on Traditional
Chinese medicine (TCM ) utilizing the meridian energetic system of the
Body similar to the Nadi energy system of Indian Yogic philosophy.
Manipulation is applied to both the whole meridian, as well as
specific energetic junctions throughout the body known as Tsubo vital
energetic points, akin to the marma points of the Indian system of
points.
The massage is conducted fully clothed with loose clothing either
track suit pants and t-shirt on a Japanese futon on the floor.
Specific movements of pressure are applied across the body with a
leaning penetration of either palms, thumbs, elbow and knees to aid in
the location and manipulation of meridian and tsubo to aid in the
removing of stagnant or blocked Qi/Ki.
As well as his ongoing studies in Shiatsu, Denis has an Advanced Diploma in Yoga Teaching, has completed studies in Ayurveda and Adult Education. He is a member of the Shiatsu Therapy Association of Australia.

An internationally qualified Yoga Teacher, Tameka is constantly amazed by Yoga's ability to short circuit negative mental and emotional patterns both in her students and in herself.
